The Sleep Code -
Girls Night In

The Sleep Code co-hosted a Girls Night In with the lovely @themadisonrae at @fouquets.newyork.

The night was filled with manicures by @kesangthenailartist, tarot card readings by @dayaparvati, a sneak peak of our new collection, and of course, room service!

I recently directed and organized a strategic brand activation for The Sleep Code to generate buzz for our new collection around Valentine’s Day. The event, co-hosted with influencer @themadisonrae, was designed to align with our target audience and took place at Fouquet's New York. Through careful negotiation, the influencer agreed to post two TikToks, one feed post, and multiple stories, as well as invite eight of her influencer friends. This created an intimate setting while leveraging her network's followers. Attendees shared organic content like "Get Ready With Me," "Come to an Event With Me," and event recaps, further promoting the event across various channels.

The outcomes of this collaboration were remarkable. Instagram engagement increased by 48%, and accounts reached grew by 68%. On TikTok, profile visits boosted by 60%, and there was a 15% boost in sales. The event's success also attracted other influencers in the same niche, leading to increased interest in our future events. This expanded our network and solidified our brand presence in the market, demonstrating the power of strategic event planning and influencer partnerships in driving significant results for The Sleep Code.

Exploring Threads of Consumerism

"Exploring Threads of Consumerism: The Price They Pay" is a reflective book that takes readers through an inner monologue about the interconnectivity of consumerism.

This book draws from experiences witnessed from the living conditions of communities located near one of the most polluted rivers in the world, which is heavily impacted by textile production. It focuses on examining Indonesia's current western-driven export fashion industry, seeking to understand the implications of these factors on an individual's consumer purchasing power and society as a whole.

By exploring the connections between these challenges, the book underlines how they are interconnected by a thread - providing a personal perspective on the impact of our consumerism.

Ciska Farm Tomato

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I founded a direct-to-consumer tomato brand, developing a strong identity with compelling visual assets and a unique selling proposition.

This resulted in significant sales and a 70% profit margin. A portion of the profit was donated to nonprofit organizations aiding pandemic relief. I managed social media, online sales, administrative orders, and customer engagement, driving the brand's success.

Exhibition Design

Black Power to Black People

As a design intern at Poster House, I had the opportunity to work on the “Black Power to Black People” exhibit, which offered an intimate look at how the Black Panther Party harnessed the power of branding and media to control its own narrative, rally community support, and become one of the most influential militant groups of its time.

For the “Black Power to Black People” exhibit at Oster House, we placed oversized protest signs outside the gallery, featuring hand-painted lettering reminiscent of the Civil Rights era.

Using the Bayard typeface, we evoked the bold, handmade lettering of 1960s protest signs. Inside, the exhibit began with an iconic 1967 photograph of Huey Newton and traced the Black Panther Party's branding through six chronological sections. We utilized bold type, militaristic colors, striking icons, and heroic photographs of armed Black Panther members, echoing the powerful design strategies of the Black Panthers and showcasing their enduring effectiveness.

Brand Strategy | Consulting

Elena Velez

Elena Velez is an American fashion designer and creative from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, based in New York City. Her work is known for its synthesis of metalsmith and high fashion.

After extensive research of the Elena Velez brand, I worked with a team to propose a thorough and integrated marketing strategy for this emerging brand that is rapidly gaining traction in the fashion industry. Our main objective is to increase brand awareness and spread her name far and wide, leveraging her personal story to not only establish a solid foundation in the established target market but also to cultivate a prominent standing with younger demographics.

Before solidifying our core strategies, we hope to provide the most appropriately curated content for the Elena Velez audience. We propose a newsletter strategy as well as a social media strategy aimed at increasing brand awareness and maximizing engagement among the brand's audience by consistently producing relevant content.

These strategies will act as a guide that will assist in building a loyal community around Elena Velez's brand, bridging the gap between her brand and her consumers. Most importantly, this integrated marketing strategy will help to generate sales that will fund future brand activation events, further solidifying Elena Velez's presence in the fashion industry.
